Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This is a favorite dwarf Penstemon, needle-like intense silvery leaves, forming tiny mats small enough for troughs. It never suffers from any dieback and seems very easy for a caespitose Penstemon, this would be a first rank plant even if it never flowered, and the flowers are lovely as well.
A very nice Penstemon native to the Rockies. This is an ideal choice for the rock garden or rock wall edge. Spreading little mounded mat of silver-gray evergreen foliage with quite good showy spikes of lavender-blue flowers to 12". Good drainage and will take dry when established.
