Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Tiny, glossy, oval leaves form a neat evergreen mat. Cobalt blue flowers with a white central eye. Tolerant of light foot traffic so it can be used amongst pavers or as a groundcover where you might walk by from time to time. There are various creeping veronicas that make great groundcovers and container plants with their attractive foliage and cute purple or blue flowers.
From Betty Blake and one of the better Turkish Veronicas, very free flowering, extremely prostrate mats of tiny leathery green leaves. ZONE 5
This sturdy groundcover forms a hard flat mat with waxy, nearly succulent, teardrop-shaped leaves. It is reliably evergreen and takes on purplish tints in hot sun. Cobalt blue flowers cover the leaves from April to June. Perennial. Xeriscape. Thrives in loam, clay or sand; needs light fertilizing on sandy soils. USDA zones 3-10 (up to 10,000').
