Luscious succulent -- even though the narrow leaves have spines on the margins! Named for Alice Waidhofer and selected by San Marcos Growers from her collection, these have rosettes of dark red, strap-like leaves and orange flowers on tall stems in summer -- so what's a few spines -- multiplying to form dense clumps 18" tall x several feet wide. Drought tolerant in full sun and well-drained soil. Frost hardy into the mid teens F, mid USDA zone 8.
