The Jessamine of the Southeast with evergreen, narrow, somewhat triangular, shiny green leaves and late spring flowers of pleasing creamy yellow. A good small-scale vine -- to 10-20' -- in sun or dappled shade where temperatures seldom fall below 0 ºF. These plants are taken from an old specimen at the former digs of Siskiyou Rare Plant Nursery in Medford, Oregon and have survived -6 ºF in 1990. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8 with possible dips into 7 and, yes, even upper zone 6.
