Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This lovely blue form of the Italian Cypress makes an attractive narrowly-columnar tree reaching 40-60' in height but just 5-8' in width. The scale-like leaves are a deeper, bluish color rather than green and this cultivar is nearly fruitless. These classic trees have been used in landscapes since the Renaissance and are perfect as specimen, accent or hedge. With their columnar habit they can fit in just about any landscape. S/M
Tall, columnar tight evergreen tree. The foliage is bluish green, more gray when juvenile. Youngest branches are soft green, changing to a warm red, with the scales peeling off to a flaky dull green as maturity occurs. Growth Rate fast
Blue-green foliage highlights the pencil thin growth habit of this cypress. It is an ideal vertical element in a garden and irreplaceable for a Mediterranean effect. Grows 8-10? in ten years. At 10? tall it may be only 1? wide. After many years it may reach 20-30? tall and still be only 3-4? wide. Awards: Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
