    Cistus libanotis 'Major' is a fast-growing broadleaf evergreen shrub with green foliage. In spring and summer white flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in acidic, alkaline, average, gritty, lean, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant, seaside / salt tolerant, verticillium wilt resistant and wind tolerant.

    A vigorous and free flowering rock rose, to 4 ft, evergreen, its dark, narrow leaves creating a somewhat delicate texture. In spring, erect racemes of white flowers with red sepals appear at the end of each branch. Like the species, found growing on rocky slopes in southern Portugal and Spain, this form likes good drainage and mineral soil in full sun. Drought tolerant once established. Frost hardy to 10F, USDA zone 8.
