Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This is a small growing species camellia with small deeply veined leaves. The leaves are 1"x1/2". The small 1 1/2 ??? flowers are white in spring. We grow as a container plant as we don't think its hardy enough for us.
This winter-spring flowering camellia has worked its way into our hears, especially when covered with 1", pure white, single flowers with a delightful delicate scent. Upright and columnar in form, easily to 3-6' tall and up to 10' over time, with an open habit, the small, dark green leaves sparsely distributed. Best in half sun or dappled shade and acid soil with normal summer water. Our plants from Nanjing, China. Cold hardy to USDA zone 8.
