Also known as S. tootsik f. albostriata, this is a rare bamboo that forms dense colonies and reaches 15-30' tall with culms up to 1.5” in diameter, with dense leaves striped in creamy yellow and somewhat stiff. Prefers at bit of shade, dappled or afternoon, and regular summer water. Easily contained with a bamboo barrier or sand moat. Also does well in pots. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
