From a 1993 collection in Coahuila, Mexico an unnamed, strap-leaved perennial to about 24,” with very pretty flowers, orange red with bases dipped in green held on pink stems! Think hummingbirds! Frost hardy in USDA zone 7; evergreen to 15 °F. Full sun to medium shade (full shade in very hot climates) with occasional summer water. A very nice plant.
