Thymus camphoratus is a broadleaf evergreen perennial groundcover herb with green foliage. In spring and summer lavender and white flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and occasional water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in gritty, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant.

A very aromatic thyme -- with hints of Eucalyptus when the gray-green leaves are crushed. Small, to only 10" x 10" with mid spring flowers, also fragrant, of lavender-white. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Very drought tolerant but appreciative of a bit of summer water. Can be used for cooking, of course. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
