This fantastic 8-20' shrub yew is smaller and slower-growing than the species. It has lovely upright branching, thicker deep-green needles and a denser overall habit. The long, thin, strap-like needles add lovely texture to the garden. With its very neat appearance it is perfect for either formal or Japanese gardens. This shrub makes a great container plant which can also be used indoors. Very deer resistant, the foliage and red berries of this plant are mildly poisonous. S/M
Buddhist Pine, Shrubby Yew Pine, a slow growing dome shaped evergreen with long narrow glossy green leaves. Mature height is 8-10' with width of 3-4'. May be trimed and pruned to shapes or hedge. Hardy to zone 7, great for outside plantings in south, used as bonsai subject or houseplant in north. Likes sun to part shade and is deer resistant.
Slow-growing evergreen, columnar shrub to small tree with dark green, needle-like leaves in spirals on upright branches. Reaches 20-30' tall x 10-12' wide, but only after a very long time.
