Crinum x powellii 'Album' is a hardy, easy-to-grow amaryllis relative with bold strap like leaves rising from large fleshy bulbs. In summer the foliage is topped with white amaryllis-like flowers over a long period. This hybrid was bred in the 19th centur

One of the hardiest crinums, a hybrid between Crinum bulbispermum x Crinum moorei, 1.5m scapes bear umbels of fragrant white Amaryllis flowers.
Huge, lily-like, pure white flowers, deliciously fragrant, emerge in clusters of 8-10 in early to mid summer rising high above the clumps of long leaves. To 4' tall. A true perennial, dying back in winter, with a huge bulb that hungers for nutrient rich soil. Best in half sun. Tolerant of regular water or some drought. Dislikes being disturbed so pick a spot where it can mature. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
