Filigree as the name implies is a feathery green lace leaf maple that grows slow and tight. One of the smallest of the dissectum group. Filigree requires shade in the afternoon to prevent the fine green lace leaves from burning in the hot sun. Ideal for a small garden or water feature because it is slow growing. This rare and unusual maple is a good selection for either a patio container or as a focal point in a small garden. Once established hardy to USDA zone 6. Fall colors blend from yellow to gold. Many prefer Filigree over Viridis and Waterfall for a shady area.

Arguably the best green lace leaf, this tree is really special! The leaves are covered with a profusion on minute flecks of pale gold or cream. This must be seen to be appreciated! Spring growth is yellow-green turning to light green for summer then exploding into bright yellow for Autumn.
