Rosa 'Bengal Fire' is a broadleaf deciduous shrub with green foliage. In fall and summer red flowers emerge. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and regular water. Does well in average and well-drained soil.
The redness of the single flowers is breathtaking on this scentless rose. Nearly thornless as well it is a small shrub to about 4'. Grow it with plenty of sun and nutrition and it will flower all summer long and will be clothed well by disease restistant foliage.
A tough, disease-resistant rose that blooms from spring through frost with single, fragrant scarlet blooms that "flame" in certain slants of light. Grows to 5' or so wide and high, and, given that it blooms on new wood, can be pruned hard in early spring. Sun to part shade, neglected or not, and hardy to -10 °. Why can't they all be this easy?
