Tired of those cliché, pure white calla lilies? These beautiful, green-tipped callas grow bigger and more robustly than your average ‘I don’t know where they came from; they were here when we bought the house’ plants. Striking flowers are truly green with white centers, appearing in mid to late summer on plant to 2-3 ft tall. Full to part sun with regular summer water. Frost hardy in USDA zone 6.
Alluring, evasive form of Calla – white flowers appeared to be dipped in serpentine green paint – very choice! Sun to light shade, any soil with ample moisture. Excellent cut flower. Easy to grow, slowly expanding clump. A ‘secret garden rave’ that we are pleased to offer.
An iconic and widely recognized plant, tall landscape calla originated in South Africa and now grow in many parts of the world. This unusual variety, Green Goddess, unfurls white blooms with a generous wash of green at the tip. Aethiopica is surprisingly easy to grow given its diva-like appearance, preferring moist soil, pond edges or a bit of extra water in the landscape. Use this big beauty to make a dramatic visual statement.

Big, bold, deep green arrow shaped foliage to three to four feet gives rise to tall stems with white calla lily flowers with their tips dipped in rich green as if the garden gnomes had been out the night before using them as paint brushes! A unique flower effect. Green until hard frosts. Mulch with fallen leaves - pack leaves around the perimetre and right into the centre of the plant to protect the crowns in winter. Calla lilies can be slow to bulk up in the garden so investing in a larger size is a good idea.
