Forsythia is famous for its bright display of bright yellow flowers on bare branches in late winter and early spring. An old garden standby indeed. This cultivar is showy after the blooms have faded, having golden-green leaves instead of the typical green leaves. Grows to 4-6 ft tall and wide in Full Sun to Part Sun. Provide some summer water where dry. Frost hardy to USDA zone 4.
A truly distinctive Forsythia that has 3 season interest. It has the same great golden yellow blooms that are so appreciated in the spring but from the time it leafs out in spring until it goes dormant in the Fall, it has truly spectacular gold foliage. Even in a fair bit of shade, the gold holds. A real Eye-Catcher! We are listing it as part shade and feel it will probably do better with some shade than in full sun where the foliage may bleach in hot zones. In colder areas, sun should be fine.
