Nursery contributed plant descriptions

TENDER vine with rich royal purple, flared pouch flowers! The blooms are a big 3” across and have a yellow throat. From tropical Africa, this vine is a restrained grower happy at 3 vertical feet, so it lends itself to containerizing to move under cover during winter. Surprisingly easy – enjoys bright light, good soil and regular moisture (not soggy!). Can be coaxed to 6’…or cut back in early spring to make a fountain shaped perennial. Hardy to 24 degrees.
Bring the tropics of Africa to any bright exposure with this excellent container plant. The 2" exotic, yellow-throated, violet-blue flowers emerge on arching stems in continuous succession throughout the year. A vine by nature, but if given regular prunings, it will maintain a bushy structure.
2.5" purple trumpets with yellow throats are produced freely spring to fall. A tame and sprawling tropical perennial or small rambling climber. One of our favorite garden plants and is easy to enjoy.
