Old world herb with striking steel blue, frilly foliage; compact growth 2-3' high and wide, looks good in any setting! Deer hate it, gophers despise it…we love it! Greenish yellow flowers late summer…typical Mediterranean culture, full sun, well drained soil.
Out of the herb garden comes this lovely blue leaved plant which makes a stunning 3 season accent for many color schemes. This sterile form of Rue has yellow blossoms held just above the 2' clumps of neat and tidy foliage, attracts bees and butterflies but not deer. 'Jackman's Blue' will do well in sunny well drained spots. WORD OF CAUTION: Be sure to wear gloves when handling this plant if you have sensitive skin.
