Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Large round, elegantly-scalloped leaves don't sound "bramblish", and small pink to purple flowers in pretty clusters don't sound "bramblish", but "bramble" this 7-14' luxuriant shrub is with good tasting black fruit to prove it, too! S/M
An interesting and unusual thornless bramble from China (aka R. omiensis); grows fairly quickly to 8-10'; large, bold foliage and stems are especially attractive against a lightly shaded wall. Has orange-red fruits resembling salmonberry that are edible.; We cut the plant back annually to prevent possible seeding and indiscriminate sexual encounters with local blackberry bushes, but we like this plant!
