Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Gently spreading perennial ground cover; crisply edged in cream, the silver green leaves rise 6-8" topped with white umbels of Queen Anne's Lace type flowers to 18" in early summer (great for cutting). Consistently moist, humus rich soils are best and protection at least from the hot afternoon sun will make this underused beauty happy. This is not the invasive Bishop's Weed (which it resembles) but a lovely, well behaved woodland creeper.
Stump the experts with this plant: a little known relative of Astrantia, Peucedanum is the true Masterwort. This new cultivar, 'Daphnis', introduced from France, has very attractive cream and gray-green variegated foliage, forming tidy clumps 8-10" high and spreads 18-24". White Queen Anne's Lace flowers are born on 12-15" stems in early summer.....and, no it is NOT Goutweed.
