Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Muscari latifolium is a classic early spring grape hyacinth with spikes of purple-black flowers topped with royal blue flowers. Deer and rodent resistant, they have an extended bloom time and naturalize readily, forming impressive, fragrant drifts.
This adorable grape hyacinth appears to be wearing a hat of lighter colored puffs, going this way and that. If we could all look this good in hats . . . sigh.

These grape hyacinth bloom somewhat later than other varieties. First comes a tulip-like leaf in early spring, followed by flowers in mid spring. They are long lasting, giving months of color and interest---much longer than many other bulbs. Large 7+ cm round bulbs
Blue, blue my love is blue…I sure love this Muscari too! This free flowering heirloom from Turkey has 6" spikes topped in true blue deepening to cobalt violet at the base of the stem April > May…a wowser! Easy to grow in most any soil, sun to part shade, a great naturalizer and awesome paired with dwarf narcissus or early tulips! No care required.
