    Aster yomena 'Shogun' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with gold, green and variegated foliage. In fall lavender flowers emerge. Attracts bees, beneficial insects, birds and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - dappled shade and even moisture - regular water. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and humidity tolerant.

    Very stable variegation on this 6-12" tall Aster relative. Kind of aggressive in full sun, but by no means a problem. In late Summer, lavender-blue Aster-like flowers make a stunning appearance.

    An autumn flowering, winter dormant perennial. A delightful little plant, essentially a variegated Aster. The lightly incised, lance shaped leaves, starting lime yellow, with a central green splash, and fading slowly to all green, clothe the much branched, wirey stems. Billowy masses of small, blue, daisy flowers are borne for an extended period in autumn, while the attractive foliage provides colour from spring onwards. A good ground cover, slowly forming colonies.Cut back to ground level in winter.From what we have seen of this Japanese plant so far, we predict that it will be a stellar performer, like it's larger cousin K. incisa. We expect that it will thrive in a wide range of conditions, tolerate some drying out and take the summer heat in it's stride.
