Fragrant lavender-blue flowers stand above the beautiful silvery-gray-green leaves, striped along the margins with creamy-yellow. Sun/Med
From Croatia, this iris has leaves with broad, vertical swathes of cream and the foliage alone keeps this one in high demand! Sweetly fragrant pale blue flowers with yellow beards appear late spring to early summer and contrast nicely against the leaves. Full sun to part shade (more shade tolerant than other iris); most soils (humusy well drained preferred), average water, but drought tolerant.
Fragrant, violet blue blooms with blue green and gold striped leaves. An excellent, bold, variegated exclamation point to provide a little vertical excitement at the front or mid border.
Much less common in gardens the gold edged version provides an elegant contrast to Iris pallida 'Albo Variegata', we have been hoarding this for years and have finally built up enough to offer it, depending on its popularity it may not reappear again for several years, it is slow to increase. ZONE 4
[Syn.:I.kaempferi] The show starts with rich purple flowers, then about mid summer, the leaves become shiny and heavily cream variegated. Likes most soils, not too dry and grows in water.
