Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This is one luxurious plant! Evergreen perennial 3-6" tall and slowly spreading to a nice small scale ground cover. Large deep blue funnel shaped flowers April to June are real stunners!! Easy to grow…good starter gentians. Prefers sun to light shade, well drained soil and regular moisture.
A vigorous selection suitable as a groundcover in rock gardens with dark blue, upward facing trumpets. The main blooming season is spring but they can re-bloom throughout summer and fall. The leathery foliage is evergreen. For any good garden soil, needs light shade in hotter regions. 2 3/8" square - 3 3/4" deep pots. Blooming size.
Evergreen mat-former with very large cobalt blue trumpets spring to early summer. A rich moist soil in full to mostly sun is best. Despite popular opinion, these are pigs and thrive on a good manure mulch!
