Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Upright, arching stems to 3′ explode July > October with 1 ½” long, pale lilac-pink flowers dangling like twirling ballerinas. They have a pearlescent quality hence the name…morning sun to part shade, well drained, moist soils. These plants look delicate but are quite tough! They take a few years to really get going, producing hundreds of flowers. The hardy fuchsias all attract hummers and die to the ground in winter, re-emerging in late spring. Planting deep and winter mulching is advised, especially the first year or two.
