Superb tiny leafed, delicate looking ground cover…jewel tones of deep green on plants 2-4" tall, spreading to 4' (or more over time). Grows in any soil, even heavy clay. Takes any exposure from full sun to deep shade! I'd call that adaptable wouldn't you? This is a hard to find selection that is actually very easy to grow, creates a lovely, evergreen carpet on slopes, cascades over walls, stems root as they spread outward. May look delicate but this plant is no weenie!
Winter creeper. Evergreen fine textured ground cover.
Euonymus fortunei ‘Kewensis’ is a sturdy evergreen groundcover with tiny, leathery, dark green leaves. Stems will root when they come in contact with the soil. Miniature Wintercreeper tolerates most well-drained soils and is somewhat drought tolerant once established. Great selection for low groundcover, planted between pavers or cascading over a wall. Tolerates varying amounts of foot traffic.
Adorable little "micro foliage" on a creepy crawly little plant that's a perfect ground cover in a rock garden or just about anywhere.
An uncommon yet darling little groundcover Euonymus, 'Kewensis' forms an evergreen creeping mat of small mid to dark green oval leaves with lighter veins. The stems root in as they travel reaching only 1-3 inches high but spreading indefinitely though plants may grow up a feature if they find something to climb.
Tiny ¼ inch leaves on dark green creeping prostrate vine. Small enough to climb on tiny trellis as a miniature vine or train several to represent mini vineyard. Or can let sprawl to thick mound in landscape or rock garden. Takes sun and moderate water. Large photo shows started as a mini arbor vine, small photo shows fall color.
Dainty prostrate spreader with tiny (1/4"!) glossy leaves; makes a dense cover between rocks, etc. or will climb with support. Sun/Med.
Dainty, prostrate form of Wintercreeper w/ tiny leaves. Forms low mat, only several inches. If allowed to climb a tree, it develops the var. radicans character w/ much larger leaves, flowers & fruits. The basal portion however, retains the 'Kewensis' characteristics. So, if you like it little & cute, don't let it play in your trees. Forms little mounds. Great in a rock garden.
