A variegated sedge that grows as a clumping ground cover plant. Flowers are a light purple. It prefers shady locations and is deer tolerant.
Carex conica ‘Snowline’ is a semi-evergreen ornamental grass that displays a slow-growing tuft of narrow, dark green leaves with silver edges. Ornamental Grasses are low-maintenance and grow well in most soil types. They look beautiful, adding color, height and movement to your garden. Sedge is an excellent companion plant with contrasting foliage.
Tight little clumps of variegated foliage, completely stable. Great in the front of the sunny border. 3-6" tall and flowing.
Glistening, dark green slender leaves embellished with crisp white margins and small purplish white flowers on triangular stems hallmark this neatly tufted variegated Sedge. Fully evergreen in milder climates, the sturdy fine textured mound spreads slowly, casting a long lasting sprightly charm upon the rockery, woodland beds or patio pots. 'Snowline' relishes light shade and loose moist soil, withstands tree roots, wards off deer and, if planted closely, makes a picturesque easy to maintain ground cover.
Dainty, sweet little 'toy sedge'…6-8" high and wide (plants this small are nice in groupings!); slow growing (could eventually double that size over time). The very fine blades are edged in snow white giving this critter an overall silvery look. It will take sun with summer moisture, but is at its best in lightly shaded locations – woodland, rock garden, containers. Easy to grow and a good looker all year in the PNW! Deer proof.
