Campanula 'Sarastro' is a moderate-growing, slow-growing broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In summer purple flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - dappled shade and even moisture - regular water. Does well in average, gritty, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and humidity tolerant.

Luxurious deep green foliage, 18" tall and slowly spreading via underground rhizomes – dark buds (almost black) unfurl into giant (2 ½") bell shaped blooms of luscious grape purple that keep coming all summer if old flowers are removed.
