The emerald-green heart-shaped leaves of this lovely shade-loving groundcover are painted with an arc of quicksilver splashes and in spring, topped with a myriad of tiny blue forget-me-not flowers; spreads as a groundcover should. PSh/M
Heart shaped leaves splotched with silver spots, 12" tall and clumping to about 24" wide look delicate, disguising this perennial's tough side. Forget-me-not, true blue flowers top the clump from spring to early summer. Brunnera loves rich, moist soil, but ours thrive in dry-ish shade in a soil choked with tree roots and look great! Easy to grow, scatters itself about (too pretty to be a pest). Part sun to shade; deer resistant.
Brunnera are much sought-after because of their interestingly-patterned foliage. In 'Langtrees' the heart-shaped mid green foliage is speckled with silver highlights. Beautiful blue forget-me-not flowers crown the rosette of leaves and last for a long time in the woodland, edge of a dappled light border, or beside your path. One of our favourite plants. Green heart shaped leaves with a border of silvery spots. Wonderful blue flowers in the spring. Shade preferred.
