Sedum 'Matrona' is a deciduous cactus / succulent with blue foliage. In summer pink flowers emerge. Features glaucous texture. This is a German girl with good breeding! Vigorous upright stems of bright wine red are decorated by crisp succulent, blue grey foliage with rose pink edges, plants 24” tall and 18” wide. In late summer to fall, stems are topped with broad clusters of light rosy tone flowers. Easy to grow in most soils (lean best) – sun – some summer water. Attracts bees and butterflies. Dry flowers provide winter interest.
This upright stonecrop from Germany is a stalwart perennial in our dry sunny hardy succulent bed. One of the largest upright Sedum, it can grow 2-3' tall forming clumps as wide. Rosy Pink flowers take color in late summer on dark tinted stems. The gray green foliage takes on a plum cast in cooler temperatures.
This large upright stonecrop has large, glaucous blue foliage tinged with a purple flush, especially in full sun and dry soils. The stems are rich marron in colour and hold large pink flower clusters in late summe and fall. Between foliage and flowers this is a bold striking specimen nearly year-round. Its foliage and flowers harmonize well with pinks, blues, lavenders and creams of nearby plants in the garden.
