Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Large rounded leaves cut from silver velvet adorn this quick growing, soft stemmed, shrubby, evergreen perennial from Queensland. The ideal silver foil for shady gardens across the country, needing only protection from direct frost and a soil that's not too dry year round. During Autumn and Winter spikes of delicate, white flowers, are freely produced. Trim regularly to maintain density.

One of those plants we just wouldn't be without, for the lovely mounded habit, thick sturdy quilted leaves covered with silvery down and the subtle tints of mauve on the stems, back of the leaves and flowers.
This easy plant makes an impressive specimen with large felted silvery leaves and candelabras of blue coleus-like flowers. It grows 2-3' tall and pairs exceptionally well with Verbena bonariensis. Likes sun and well drained soil.
Plush, silver, heavily textured leaves make a trim mound through the summer months. Very easy and adaptable in a variety of sites and soils. A great filler plant in the border. Annual. Xeriscape. Ordinary loam is best. Annual in climates with frost.
