Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A cliff wall covered with these is an unforgettable sight! but their pink and salmon flowers are just as lovely in a dry-shade-garden placed where the rosette of fleshy leaves can?t catch water. PSh/D/GDr/gravel collar
Zn.5. Succulent evergreen rosettes. Pastel flowers
Lewisia forms little evergreen succulent rosettes and blooms in late spring with clusters of brilliantly coloured flowers which, in the case of 'Rainbow', consists of pink, fuchsia, apricot, red-orange, pale yellow, bright yellow, and white. A native of alpine regions, Lewisia require good drainage and enjoy full to part sun. Plant them in containers, rock gardens and in the crevices of retaining walls.
Unsurpassed for dry rock gardens, Lewisia is native to parts of the western U.S., particularly the Northwest. The plants bloom from spring through autumn in ice cream shades. Flowers are held on short stems above fleshy rosettes of crinkled-edged evergreen foliage. Blooms are a mix of colors and display both single and double forms.

A nice color mix from Germany that rivals the Ashwood stuff.
Fast-draining rocky soils, large, varied, colorful bloom sprays.
