Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Clusters of bright coral red, yellow centered 1/2" wide 5-petaled flowers are held on deep coral red flower stalks or peduncles and are held well above the large deeply cut tropical foliage. The Coral Bush is an excellent tree-like heat and sun loving tropical specimen for large containers or in the garden. Flowers are born on and off throughout the year with heaviest flowering in the warmer months. A beautiful addition to cactus gardens. Jatropha multifida is a fast growing, typically single trunked, large tropical shrub and seems to tolerate most well-drained soils. Moderately drought tolerant once well-established although average moisture will produce the best looking plant. May reseed under good conditions, remove the large green or yellow fruits to prevent this if desired.
