Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Long droopy green leaves, long-lasting lavender blue flowers mid-summer. Classic tropical look, but drought-tolerant and hardy down to 25° and lower when mature.
Large clusters of 2" purplish-blue lightly fragrant trumpets are born in spring with sporadic flowering throughout the summer months in warm climates. The Jacaranda is a fast growing medium sized tree with beautiful fine textured fern-like foliage. An excellent specimen tree with high drought resistance once well established. Jacaranda's are frost tender and so should be planted only in mild winter climates, although it is considered to flower best with winter temperatures in the upper 30's. Provide a deep well-drained soil for best results.
