    Trichocereus spachianus plant details

    Trichocereus spachianus is an evergreen cactus / succulent with green foliage. In spring and summer white flowers emerge. Grows well with sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in gritty, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

    The Trichocereus spachianus, commonly known as Golden Torch has nice, dark green spires of 3-4 inches thick stems covered with short, golden spines that give them an overall golden cast. Up to 2 meters tall and pupping from the base. Pups grow upwards and parallel to the main column. Trichocereus spachianus is a night-flowering species, but the flowers stay open until late in the day.

    This plant has been grown in a 15 ga pot.

    Multi-stemmed columnar cactus, native to Western Argentina and Bolivia, basally branching, 2 to 2.5 inches in diameter (5-6 cm), 7 feet tall (2 m) Large white nocturnal flowers in late spring. The flowers are up to 8 inches long (20 cm), 6 inches in diameter (15 cm).
