Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Whoa! Growing ginormous 1' wide green rosettes often tinged with orangey margins on multi branching stems to 3' wide & tall, this Aeonium is AWESOME! It's a thriller. HUGE, golden yellow, pointy gnome hat shaped starry flowers bees adore appear in Spring & last for months. Watching them erupt from the rosette center is tons of fun, too! Endemic to the Canary Island of Tenerife, Aeonium holochrysum likes well drained soil & absolutely adores life next to the beach in California, but it's a hater of frost (you'll see meltage). They're Winter growers pairing up perfectly with our Winter rains here in the Bay Area.
