Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This new prostrate Rosemary is a vigorous grower with a neat attractive habit and deeper lavender-blue flowers than other trailing types. S/M-D PPatent9124
Discovered as a volunteer seedling in northern California, 'Irene's low mounding habit is much improved over older prostrate Rosemarys. Dense, gray-green, narrow leaves make a vigorous show on long, pendant branches, and the richly colored blue-violet flowers are larger and more profuse than those displayed by other trailing cultivars. Let it cascade down a wall or over the lip of an easily viewed terracotta vessel. Rosemary Irene (PP#9124)
A trailing cascading variety, hardy for John at H&H, a trifle over hyped but outstanding. ZONE 6
Not really named for our Labeling Supervisor, but we like to pretend that it is! This is a strong low-growing rosemary with vivid blue flowers and a low mounding habit. Ask Irene and she'll tell you it's a much better groundcover than the ubiquitous 'Prostratus', and we agree.
A groundcovering rosemary, to 1-2' tall x 4' wide, selected and introduced by plantsman Phillip Johnson. Narrow leaves are gray-green, evergreen, and densely held on long, somewhat pendulous branches and the spring flowers are delicious, violet blue and larger than other trailing forms. Easy in the garden in well-drained soil with little summer water once established. Said to be deer resistant. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
A new selection of Prostrate Rosemary which is much improved over the previous iterations because this is bringing some serious pigment to the flowers and as noted garden designer Duane West says "It's all about the pigment". Dark blue violet flowers on a cascading plant. Good drainage. PP9124
