We had this golden leafed escallonia back in the 80's, but don't know why we didn't have it for sale. Since the foliage is vibrant glossy gold. The flowers are light pink but gladly don't last long.
Selected for its bright yellow new growth, this dense 8-10' shrub will be a standout in spring and again later for its pink summer flowers. S-PSh/M-D
Spangled with incandescent, gleaming golden foliage and terminal panicles of long blooming raspberry-colored flowers, this drop-dead gorgeous evergreen shrub promises to delight you throughout the seasons. The dashing medium-sized rounded leaves are leathery and toothed, transmuting fresh lime-green shades during the summer. Acquiescent to salt spray and varied soil conditions, even dry ones, 'Gold Brian's bushy hard-to-miss visage demands a well-drained abode, a trim immediately after the blossoms are spent and protection from hot afternoon sun.
Large growing with golden new growth.
This voluptuous evergreen shrub is clothed in medium sized, rounded leaves of gold! In early spring and again in fall this gold is kissed with pink. Raspberry-pink flowers bloom freely over a long period during summer. Good sun is needed to keep the nice gold coloring, but won't like a hot spot.

Grown for the glowing, golden foliage that lights up a dim spot in the garden, gradually darkening to lime green over the summer. Medium, evergreen shrub, to 4-5 ft and as wide, with deep pink flowers in spring and summer. Full to part sun with adequate water. Protect from afternoon sun in hottest climates. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
Very nice gold-leafed Escallonia which has bright pink flowers. The foliage can fry a bit if given blasting afternoon sun but looks great given just a wee bit of protection. Ours froze back the unusually bad winter of Dec 09 but grew out and looked good in June. Well worth growing.
