Acrothamnus colensoi is a broadleaf evergreen perennial shrub with blue foliage. In spring white flowers emerge followed by pink, red and white fruit. New Zealand, A neat twiggy heath-like shrublet for the rockgarden. Prostrate habit with stiff upright shoots to 12“ and narrowly oblong blue-gray leaves to 3/8". Clusters of small urn-shaped white flowers, followed by rose-red or white berries.

Lovely little NZ native best grown like Empetrum or Phyllodoce here. Happy in part sun to light shade in a moist organic soil. Small white sweet-scented flowers and pink or white or red fruit. Known first as Cyathodes, then Leucopogon and now Acrothamnus in the Ericaceae. Crikey.
