Lagerstroemia 'Cedar Red' is a broadleaf deciduous tree with bronze, green and red foliage. In fall and summer red flowers emerge. Grows well with sun and regular water. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in well-drained soil.
Masses of bright-red flowers decorate this 8' beauty late summer-into-fall. The flowers alone would be enough, but this tree also offers handsome foliage that opens burgundy-red before maturing to a rich dark green. A demure treasure that can fit into any sized landscape. S/M/GDr
Crapemyrtle. We love Crapemyrtles up here in the North even though they are the Photinia of the South. These do fabulous here as evidenced by the grove kitty corner from Aldrich's. This is a superb selection getting just 8' tall with rich red foliage and true red late season flowers.
