Kalmiopsis fragrans is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with blue and green foliage. In spring pink and purple flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture - occasional water. Does well in acidic, gritty, rich and well-drained soil.

A selection of a rare Oregon native species that belongs to the heath family. It forms a low, spreading shrub with small, oval, evergreen leaves. In midseason it produces abundant clusters of 5-lobed, rich pink flowers with prominent stamens. Best in sun or partial shade and well-drained soil. Very choice.
