Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Masses of gorgeous crinkled silk-like, deep rose-pink flowers decorate this wonderful disease-resistant shrub from late-summer into fall. The cultivar is miniature in size reaching only 3-5' with a lovely upright habit. The foliage emerges a deep burgundy in spring before aging to a deep, dark glossy-green. Gorgeous bronzy-red fall color is striking with the exfoliating gray bark. This is a wonderful cultivar from the US National Arboretum. S/M
Released in July, 1998. 'Pocomoke' is the second in a series of true miniature Lagerstroemia indica x L. fauriei hybrids from the National Arboretum with bushy foliage and Rose Pink blooms in Fall. Dwarf mounding habit. About 20" tall, 35" wide in 8 years.

A truly dwarf Crape Myrtle which forms a 3' ball with no effort on your part. Glossy dark green foliage is a perfect backing for the numerous small clusters of late summer pink flowers. Deciduous but with nice twig/bark interest in winter. Compact enough for larger formal edging.
