Large, deep green heart shaped leaves are richly marked with silver patterns on this semi-evergreen ground cover perennial; 6-12” tall, nice spreader, weird ‘Seymour’ purple brown flowers hidden under foliage in late spring. Moist to wet organic, well drained soil is preferred, but any moist woodland will do…part to full shade. Very pretty foil for ferns and woodland shrubs. USDA Z6-9
Asarum splendens features large, purple and white, pitcher-shaped flowers hiding beneath long, glossy green, heart-shaped foliage with great silvery mottling. Semi-evergreen perennial that spreads vigorously by rhizomes. Thrives in humus rich, moist, well-drained soil. Quicksilver Wild Ginger is perfect for naturalizing in woodland gardens or planted in raised beds or containers, where the flowers can be enjoyed.
From China, eye-catching, silver-splashed, heart-shaped leathery leaves, 10" tall and spreading; most interesting and shy creamy-brown flowers hide beneath the leaves, May-June. Expose them to wow your friends. (Not culinary.)Minimum temperature: -20°F
Small to medium (at least so far) rounded leaves with with pointy tips and heavy, sort of spotchy rather than more defined like the species, silver markings. Low to the ground and slowly spreading.

This is a dandy spreading evergreen Chinese wild ginger with delectable silver splashed bold leaves and beefy (up to 3"!) flowers of purple-brown tempered by a little cream. This came through 9F here with nary a whimper. Great in containers or the moist woodland/shade garden. Hi-ho!
