Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Aster x 'Kylie'. Although you won't pay heed to this A. ericoides and A. nova-angliae hybrid early in the season, it suddenly transforms into a mound of 1/2 to 3/4" scrumptious pink flowers during September in to October. 'Kylie' enjoys a rich well drained soil that doesn't get too dry, grows 2-3' tall and wide and attracts butterflies.
An A. nova-angliae x ericoides cross, this has fine foliage and masses of small flowers with rosy pink petals darkening towards the tips which surround a prominent dark central button. We salvaged the mama plant from Marian Raitz's garden just ahead of neglect and development.
