Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Anemone nemorosa is a charming woodland ground cover that produces cute little one inch wide flowers in early spring above nicely dissected foliage. 'Green Fingers' is a crazy white-flowered cultivar with leafy, green, finger-like growths and occasional miniature white petals emerging along with the yellow stamens at the centre of each flower. Known as wood anemone or windflower, plant them around dark flowered hellebores to help show them off against the dark soil or as an ephemeral ground cover beneath deciduous trees and shrubs. They will go dormant in mid to late summer.
A curiosity; white flowers with a wheel of little leaf-like green petals in the center. Spreading, easy to grow "filler" for the woodland garden or in front of a shady border. Prefers moist, humusy soil but tolerates drier soil in summer as they are then
A bewitching Wood Anemone which is more petite than some clones. This makes a dense carpet sample of coarse ferny foliage and small white flowers with a purplish reverse. Big deal, huh? Well, kinda - the floral genitals have gone thickly, greenly and happily staminode. Cue Barry White.
