Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Named after a wonderful gardener and writer, this selection of Spotted Arum is arrestingly beautiful. White marbled leaves rimmed in forest green appear in late fall andearly winter and persist through the winter months if grown in a protected spot and weather is not too severe. Flowers form in spring after which the foliage goes summer dormant. If pollinated, bright orange fruit will form. Grow in a rich well drained soil in a partial to mostly shade. Height 6-8".
A selection named by Ellen Hornig of Seneca Hills for a superb seedling found in the iconic Pamela Harper's garden. A distinct green collar on the leaf margin surrounds a riotous pudding of variegation. Winter growing and summer dormant - perfect for the Northwest.
