Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Rockii is a rare and beautiful tree peony with bright white semi-double flowers more than 6" across. The petals disappear into light pink, then red and black at the centre which is filled with golden yellow stamens. Rockii was introduced to western horticulture from southwest Gansu, China by plant hunter Joseph Rock. Limited supply.
A legendary plant these are from commercial stocks and should be white with a dark central blotch but expect the occasional pure white or light pink, flowers are generally much larger than lutea and delavayi. ZONE 4
The very much sought after species with large single white flowers and large dark purple basal blotches. The leaves with their small leaflets are quite different from P. delavayi or rockii Hybrids. Placement is the same as other woody peonies; well draine
I will not say that this Peony rocks even though it totally does. Chinese tree Peony species named for plant explorer Joseph Rock, These are seedlings from an excellent magenta flowered form with a dark central blotch. Big flowers demand adulation. Quite easy for being so cool.
