A red-twig dogwood cultivar with the bright red stems that color the winter landscape after the leaves are gone. And what wonderful leaves - bright green with a wide and irregular golden edge! In spring, clusters of tiny white flowers appear followed by white fruit that birds love. This deciduous shrub, to 6-10 ft x 6 ft, can be multistemmed or trained as a small, handsome tree. Best in bright light with protection from afternoon's hottest sun and regular summer water. Tolerates a wide range of soils, including boggy situations. Frost hardy in USDA zone 4.
Bright golden yellow and emerald green variegated leaves clothe deep red stems. From 100' away this plant will catch your eye! Interesting every season of the year. A new discovery from the Northwest, it blooms with big domes of white blooms in April and May. Hard prune to ground in early spring to renew colorful stems every 2-3 yrs. Can be used as a hedge, screen or as part of the shrub border. Spring prune to keep new more intensely colored stems to come in Winter.

Terrific brightly variegated gold and green leaves on red stems. Unchecked growth can be to 15' tall and wide, but responds well to hard pruning.
This is maybe the best variegated Red-Twig Dogwood selection with green leaves boldly margined in golden yellow and the contrast with the red twigs is pretty darn good. The red twigginess is showy in the winter and great foliage spring and summer - what more do you need?
