Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Its true the leaves are margined in red however this feature does not stand out, the edging is quite fine, on the other hand the plant habit and flowers are spectacular, edge or no edge it is a fantastic Dwarf Bearded Iris, not to be confused with the hybrid normally sold as Dwarf Bearded Iris. ZONE 5
An absolute charming mini iris; the purple standards almost touch each other at the top. Re-blooms here throughout the summer and/or fall. Great for troughs and the rock garden. Likes a well drained soil.
This tough little gem (hardy to minus 30F!) is loved by all - from alpine plant and rock garden purists to Iris collectors to plant snobs to folks new to gardening. Big purple - red flowers over low light green leaves accented by a thin red margin. Native to Turkey into the Balkans. Decent drainage.
