Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Like most the pulsatilla, wonderful fuzzy lavender-purple flowers in earliest spring, followed by perhaps even more charming fuzzy seed heads that look absolutely magical when backlit. Main flowering is in the spring, but I notice our plants at the nursery throwing an odd flower here and there throughout the summer, which is a nice bonus. Zone 4 -Joseph
Not to be confused with the common Pulsatilla vulgaris (hence the vulgaris), this aristocrat has given rise rise to the hallowed clone 'Budapest' in it's clear light blue expression. Had it, lost it, I weep still. Greedy bastard that I am, I had to to try dividing it. Easy, decent drainage & sun.
